Sometimes you just have to take a pause. Honestly, this has seemed like more than a pause. It has felt like an eternity. In defense, I’ve had so much going on in my life that I haven’t had an opportunity to write. I haven’t worked on my websites. I haven’t focused on blog posts. Nothing. I have simply been surviving the end of the school year before winter break. Add on top of that helping my son deal with the hardest thing that he has ever had to go through. Life has just been happening swiftly.
Of course, my winter break started early. I finally succumbed to the flu that had been knocking my students out one and two at a time. Half of my 2nd period is out with the flu. 2 in my homeroom was out sick. And then there was me.
I have slept for 2 solid days. This is the first day that I have been fully upright since Wednesday. I still have so much to do and catch up on where writing is concerned, but it will be slow. No more marathon writing sessions while recovering. I would rather be well when Christmas arrives.
