I am a middle school teacher, sewist, author, friend, grandparent, and parent. I am so many different things to many different people.
I grew up in South Carolina, and I’ve resided here my entire life. My favorite view will always be the Blue Ridge Mountains because being able to see them makes me feel like I’m home no matter where I’ve lived and taught in South Carolina.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary English Education from Southern Wesleyan University. I went back to school at the age of 38 to become a teacher.
I have always loved to write. From a young age I would create stories and scripts, so it is no surprise that once I was older I would begin to write. Some of my stories were ones that I shared with my children. Some of my stories were born of those earlier stories. Some were inspired by my students.
No matter what, writing will always be my passion.
