It’s the weekend, and I am back to writing. I took the week off from writing as I felt I had pushed myself too much finishing up the month of November. However, I am back to writing. I mean, who needs NaNoWriMo as an excuse to write? Certainly not I!

I have so much to do in the next few months. I had thought about not posting as much on this blog while I worked on my other websites, but this morning I realized that I didn’t want to do that.

Of course, I probably will not post several times a week, but I will certainly post weekly while I let you know the progress of what is going on with my websites and blogs.

I currently have a total of five in progress and one that is in its infancy stage. Two of those are Ecommerce sites. I actually sell products on them. So maintaining and keeping it running is my main goal. The others, this site included in that, require constant updating and writing. Lots of writing.

I’m in the middle of researching for the newest addition. I don’t mind though. I enjoy writing. I enjoy research. Research means reading.

Today I’m focused on updating those that are already up. I’m adding in new articles and recipes. Then tomorrow, I write for the new one. I’m getting ready to launch it in a few weeks.

Until then, I’ll just continue to do what I do best and write.

I stated in my last post about the fact that I was still writing, and I am. I have one blog that I am working on feverishly to bring up-to-date. For this blog, I have at least two pages of post ideas to write, and some that need research, so my time has been spent handling that. I also have another blog that I am in the process of fleshing out. This one will be near and dear to me because it is going to be more memory than anything else. Well, memories and food, that is.

At least the writing that I have accomplished since October has brought my blogs up through the page ranks of Google. It’s not bad when you start at 2 million and work your way up to 500,000. I’m fairly certain that there are some website owners out there who will be intrigued by that movement. How do you take something so stagnant and raise it so quickly? It takes hard work, dedication, and a tight schedule. Remember, I’m still a full time teacher.

Anyhow, that’s why I decided to skip NaNoWriMo this year. Yes, I’m writing, but I doubt I’ll meet that 50K word output. Or will I? Maybe I’m not skipping and just didn’t go through the formality of it all.

In the past, I’ve always held regret when I didn’t meet my target because I fizzled out. Maybe that’s why I prefer to write without setting a lofty goal for myself. I don’t even think that I’ve kept track of the word count from the articles I’ve written this month, and to be truthful, I’ve sometimes written three posts a day. Due to my full time teaching job, my schedule can get quite hectic. When I find a free moment with extra time, I write. If I have already posted for the day, I schedule the post for a day in the future. My goal was to have twenty posts by the end of this week. I still have two more to go to meet that goal.

Maybe that’s why joining a large movement of writing isn’t what I need. I need more attainable goals. After all, a blog post has to be more than 300 words, and that is achievable if you stay focused. Setting numbers of posts, that is something that I can meet with more freely than say writing an entire novel in a month. I may take on that challenge again when I know that I have the freedom to get up in the morning and write all day for a month. For now, 300+ words and setting the number of posts is my November NaNoWriMo.
